There were 4,383 workplace fatalities in the United States in 2012. There are hundreds of life changing, severe injuries every day. This workshop will focus on proactive measures that can be taken to identify and prevent fatalities and severe injuries in the workplace. Topics include: Severe Injury/Fatality Data, Why Traditional Safety Efforts Sometimes Fall Short, Using a Safety Culture Assessment to Prevent Severe Injuries, Identifying and Characterizing Workplace Risks, Incident Investigations Including Near Miss Tracking, Human Performance Indicators, and What Motivates Workers. (This course approved for Professional Contractor Continuing Education based on seminar length).
